Last night I was reading my 4 1/2 year old a story for bedtime and as usual, I paraphrase and skip pages to make it go by quicker. As I've documented earlier, I yawn and fall out when I read the same story over and over.
So when I got to the end of the story and said, "THE END," my boy was like, "Daddy, I think you missed some pages." I was able to convince him that I did not skip any pages, but I consider that a warning shot across the bow. I won't be able to get away with it too much longer.
I guess this is a good thing because he is either memorizing, comprehending, or at the very minimal paying attention. Progress!
